The man who is preparing for breakfast sees the scary creature.
An Englishman was exhausted when he prepared his breakfast and found a snake crawling out of his cereal box.
Animal specialist Katie Hetherington has been called to the man’s home in Yorkshire, England, on Saturday to catch a 1m long snake, UPI reported.
What is the biggest python in the world?
Weighing in at 550 pounds, the aptly named giant anaconda (Eunectes murinus) is the largest snake in the world considering its length-to-weight ratio. This species, also known as the green anaconda, averages about 17 feet in length, though some individuals grow to as long as 30 feet.
“He was preparing to eat cereal for breakfast, not eating corn snakes,” Hetherington said. “He was so scared – I thought the snake was the last thing he thought he could see in the kitchen.”
Hetherington said the snake then crawled into the dishwasher and she moved it to the animal center safely.
The snake is claimed to be a corn snake, native to North America but popular in the UK. Experts say the snake may be a pet fled and they are looking for its owner.
“Corn snakes are one of the most popular domestic animals – and they are especially good at cages,” said Nicola White.
