A giant freshwater crocodile launches out of shallow water.

Crocodiles are large aquatic reptiles. They live throughout the tropics in Africa, Asia, the Americas and Australia. Crocodiles eat fish, amphibians, crustaceans, molluscs, birds, reptiles, and mammals. They cannibalize smaller crocodiles. Diet is affected by the size of the individual.

The video shows the barefoot ranger testing a tiny pool with a stick before baiting the hidden crocodile with meat.

In an instant, the huge reptile can be seen jumping out of the water towards the man, who calmly moves out of the way.
‘Unfortunately for tourists or people who have moved to this region, they think they know better until they get taken for a swimming lesson by a croc [sic],’ the caption read.

With several onlookers behind a fence, the ranger explains that while the huge beast appears tame, it was still a wild animal.

As the monster crocodile moves out of the water, the sheer size of the reptile is revealed.
Voices behind the camera can be heard saying ‘look at the size of him!’ as the creature walks towards its prey.

After feeding the animal, the ranger proceeds to sit on its back and explain how fast crocodiles can run.

With a full belly, the beast slowly makes its way back to the water and once again sinks away.
